Rat City Rollergirls take over the Georgetown Carnival Saturday, June 9th!

Join your favorite Rat City Rollergirls for whimsical shenanigans, music, and culinary delights as we host a carnival booth and lemonade stand to support local artists in Georgetown Saturday, June 9th from 12-5pm!

Step right up to the 6th annual Georgetown Carnival on Saturday, June 9. Acrobats, circus acts, aerialists, stilt walkers, fire dancers, bubble man, button making, carnival games and confections! Hot rods, rock n roll, sideshows, farmers market, and fortunetellers! Interactive art, video installations, caricaturists and cartoonists! Plus, Hazardfactory’s awesome Power Tool Races! All this family fun from noon to 8:00 PM – and it’s free!

The historic Georgetown industrial arts corridor has gained national recognition as a lively arts community. The public is invited to celebrate Georgetown’s creative diversity at what has become one of the most anticipated neighborhood festivals of the summer.

Musical entertainment on four stages by Eagles Aerie #1 Brass Band, Girl Trouble, F-Holes, NighTraiN, Rats in the Grass, Knute Bell & the Blue Collars, Black Crabs, Banzai Surf, Before Cars, Trombone Cake, Thadillac, Heavy T & the Blue Notes, Pilot to Bombardier, Bill Robison, The Shock Doc, God’s Favorite Beefcake, Titanium Sporkestra, Georgetown Records DJs, and many more.

Dozens of visual art exhibits, demonstrations, and activities will be presented in and around the studios of Georgetown’s resident artists and the businesses that serve them. Featured artists include Adrien Miller, Brian White, Mary Tudor, David Mazak, Roxanne Fawcett, Janet S. Crawley, Keli Sim DeRitis, Denise Chandler Smith, Kaska Niemiro, Yvette Endrijautzki, Kyle Abernathy, Jan Tervonen, Levi Hastings, Seb Barrett, Julie Baroh, Milo Duke, Deborah Stachowic, Javier Ortega, Mark Tedin, Ana Candela, Nils Christian, E. Grace Dager, Chris McMullen, John Osgood, Michael O’Driscoll, Brenda L. Scallon, Alberto Garcia Orte, and much more. Other attractions include a special appearance by acclaimed cartoonist Joe Sacco at Fantagraphics Bookstore, exotic shopping at the Georgetown Trailer Park Market, and a sideshow at the Stables.

Welcome characters from the forthcoming family film ParaNormaN, (from the Northwest studio that produced “Coraline.”) Take in the ambience of Georgetown at one of our diverse dining establishments, and imbibe in a beverage brewed right in the neighborhood at theGeorgetown Brewing Beer Garden.
