Method of Madness #34

What’s the significance of your derby name and number?

[MM] I look like i don’t know what i’m doing but it’s only a ploy! there’s a method to my madness. also, i was always number 32 in sports growing up but it was taken when i got to rat city so i took 34.

How did you get started playing roller derby?

[MM] Very commercially, i saw whip it and told my family my greatest ambition in life was to learn how to play derby. they researched tryouts for me in slc and i went after only skating a couple days in preparation. it was an ugly tryout but i made it!

What is your favorite thing about skating with Rat City?

[MM] My league mates. I learn new things from them all the time. Whether its about skating skills or how to be a more confident person in life, i am constantly being schooled for the better.

What was the last thing you ate?

[MM] Milk Duds and diet coke (i know, it’s not the weekend….)

What is your favorite off skates workout?

[MM] Olympic lifting and plyometrics, maybe some interval training with resistance, duh.

At noon, a train leaves Seattle for Portland while another train leaves Portland for Seattle. It takes one train 4 hours and the other 7 hours to make the trip. Both maintain constant speeds and travel along parallel tracks. If you were on one of those trains, what kind of refreshing beverage would you be drinking in the dining car?

[MM] If it’s a weekend then i’m drinking diet coke. if not, probably coffee or a Manny’s. so good.
