This weekend, the moment of truth is at hand for Rat City’s All-Stars, who have been training long and hard for 2010 WFTDA Western Regional Tournament. Rollin’ on the River, hosted by the Sacred City Derby Girls in Sacramento, CA kicks off this FRIDAY October 1st. Rat City’s All-Stars will face off against the best of the WFTDA’s Western Region teams. Tournament winners (top 3 slots) will advance to the 2010 WFTDA National Championships, in Chicago, IL.
Rat City (ranked #5) will first face long-time rivals Rose City’s Wheels of Justice (ranked #4) in the single elimination first round (at 2:00PM PDT). This will be the third game between these two Northwest teams this year with each team winning one bout, the Wheels won (124-105) in May, while Rat City was victorious (155-111) at the Hometown Throwdown in August. Fans should be sure not to miss this bout, since one of the teams will be advancing to the semifinals, while the other gets bumped to the consolation round.
