Favorite Position: Blocker, but I like to jam occasionally.
Likes: To compete! I love all manner of sports especially basketball. I also really enjoy skating and trying to teach myself new tricks. When I’m not skating I enjoy being with my friends and family, lifting weights, and watching movies.
Dislikes: The word no, quitters, liars, and cheaters. I also dislike losing (a lot), mornings, and drivers who are not me.
Injuries: Ankle sprains, right PCL tear, separated shoulder, as well as a few minor strains here and there.
Motto: “You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.” — Winston Churchill
Favorite Music: Beastie Boys, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Weezer.
Favorite Drink: Coffee (stumptown!), Manny’s Pale Ale, and chocolate milk.
Awards: N/A
Bio: I started playing derby while still in college in Utah and immediately caught the fever. After I graduated, I moved home to the Seattle area and found Rat City. I enjoy playing for such a large league and feel lucky to partake in the opportunities Rat City affords me. I’ve been lucky enough to have played on four of Rat City’s teams so far! I’ve played with the Reign of Terror, The Derby Liberation Front, Grave Danger, and with the All star team.
Beyond skating, I’m head of Rat City’s safety committee, a part of it’s training committee, and am heavily involved with the implementation of the all star’s strength and conditioning program. I enjoy being able to insert my passions as a professional into my derby life and hope to see the programs I’m involved in grow and become more and more competitive.
