#127 Bento Boxer

Derby History: At a Rat City afterparty in 2013, I told a skater that I loved watching derby, but felt I was too small to skate. She punched and hipchecked me to convince me that I was in fact tough enough to try derby. Within a few months, I was skating with the Ithaca League of Women Rollers! I transferred to Rat in February 2015 and got picked up by Grave Danger two weeks later.

Birthdate: Solid Taurus

Position: Primarily a jammer, but I also love blocking with my teammates and killing a jammer’s soul

Injuries: So far, nothing too serious (knock on wood!). Bruises, Velcro cuts, and busted lips.

Hometown: I was born in Cincinnati, OH, but also consider Ithaca, NY my hometown

Favorite Post-Bout Meal: I have a standard Vega, peanut butter, banana, and Greek yogurt smoothie. Also whiskey.

Profession: I’m a project coordinator in the nonprofit world.

Previous Sports: Soccer and softball were big ones, but I dabbled in skateboarding, snowboarding, and basketball.

Fight Song: I have a ‘Pump Up’ playlist I listen to before every bout. ‘Bangarang’ (Skrillex) is one of the songs I like to listen to right before I take the track.
