Derby History: Joined the Rat City Rollergirls in 2010 as a baby giraffe on ice (aka fresh meat). Has since learned to skate, and perhaps also hit people from time to time.
Position: PBJ (my favorite sambo): pivot, blocker, jammer
Injuries: Injuries… I’ve had a few, but then, too few to mention (word to the wise: do your PT! shoulders heal sooooo slowly!!)
Hometown: Midland, Texas (Clear eyes, Full hearts)
Profession: Genetic epidemiologist & biostatistician with special focus on neurodegeneration and kidney disease in minority populations. but my business cards just say “nerdâ€.
Previous Sports: long distance running, soccer, basketball, tennis, volleyball, water polo, croquet
Favorite Movie: Either Labyrinth or the Princess Bride; I never never never get sick of either one.
Get Pumped-Up Song: I don’t like fighting, but my pump up music is Missy Elliot, Le Tigre, or really anything with a beat.
Doppelganger: My dog and I are pretty much the same person. We nap, we eat, we consider going outside to play with our friends, but usually we just take another nap. But he’s not as good at puzzles as I am, so I got that going for me, which is nice.
